kResearch is a research workflow toolkit
kResearch is a software toolkit that helps clinicians, researchers, residents, PhD students, psychologists and small research teams assemble research workflows: study structure, validated-scale selection, Google Forms / Google Sheets generation, codebooks, scoring metadata, research-kit ZIPs, and AI-assisted drafting features.
kResearch is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, not a treatment recommendation system, not an emergency service, and not a regulated EDC / CTMS / ePRO platform.
What kResearch is NOT
- It is not medical advice.
- It does not make a medical diagnosis.
- It does not recommend a treatment for any specific patient.
- It does not interpret a real patient’s responses or provide clinical decision support.
- It is not an emergency service or crisis line.
- It is not a medical device.
- It is not cleared, approved or registered by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
- It is not CE-marked under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) or any equivalent regime.
- It is not a regulated electronic data capture (EDC) system, clinical trial management system (CTMS) or electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) platform.
- It is not validated for clinical care.
- It is not a replacement for institutional review board / ethics committee approval, qualified clinical supervision, qualified statistical review, data protection review or legal review.
What kResearch DOES do
- Helps you assemble a study design (description, target population, validated scales, sections, custom fields).
- Generates Google Forms (patient-facing and clinician-facing) and a linked Google Sheet in your own Google Drive when you authorize Google access.
- Produces AI-generated drafts (study plans, scale recommendations, structure extracted from an uploaded questionnaire). These drafts are produced by third-party large language models such as Anthropic Claude or OpenAI.
- Produces downloadable research-kit ZIPs containing codebooks, scoring metadata and previews of the generated forms.
AI output is a draft
AI features produce draft content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated or inappropriate for your context. You must independently review AI output before using it in any research material. AI output must never be presented to a study participant or patient as if it were vetted clinical content, and must never be used as a basis for individual clinical decisions.
Generated forms, scoring and statistics require review
Generated Google Forms, scoring logic, codebooks, variable layouts and any statistical guidance produced or suggested by kResearch must be reviewed by a qualified researcher, clinician and / or statistician before they are used to collect or analyse data.
You are responsible for compliance and ethics
You are solely responsible for:
- institutional review board (IRB) / ethics committee approval;
- informed consent procedures and participant safeguards;
- your study protocol, including target population and study conduct;
- data protection compliance (such as HIPAA, GDPR or other regimes that may apply to you);
- scale licensing and copyright;
- local laws and regulations applicable to your research.
No real patient-identifiable data
You must not enter real patient-identifiable data, real patient health records or protected health information (PHI) into kResearch. Respondent data should live in your own Google Forms / Google Sheets workspace, not inside kResearch.
If you need medical care
kResearch is not for individuals seeking medical care. If you have a medical concern, contact a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
Regulatory status
kResearch is not registered as a medical device in any jurisdiction. Using kResearch to make a diagnostic or treatment claim, or representing its output to others as a clinical tool, is a violation of the Terms of Service and may breach medical-device regulations in your country.
